Greetings from planet earth!

You may already know where we are. which puts you ahead of us.

But what you may not understand is the human way.

Let me assure you that these curiotsities dont make sense to a lot of us either.

For instance, how can a species that is ruled by religions manage to take the laws of a Supreme Creator and turn them into profit for a few as valid reasons

to slaughter one another?

It is a mystery to me too.

Humanity has leapt in its progressions from the caves to castles to condos.

We are builders.

We are destroyers.

We are peaceful and we are savage.

I don't wonder that you keep your safe distances.

But I do wonder what you must think of mankind.

Man, a paradox, an enigma of flesh, blood, bone, and spirit,

creates, destroys, loves and hates, fears and cherishes, is capable of heartful compassion and stunning displays of imagination, depravity beyond mention and greed beyond measure.

All you need do is tune into any TV station at night to experience the full and fat extent of our identity.

Is there hope?

I think so, but I have always been an optimist, in the face of utter and absolute defeat, thinking "tomorrow is another day..."

Speaking as one lone entity, I have faith in human beings.

The majority of humans who struggle daily on this planet want and long for

peace, for food and shelter, for simple things.

Not too many of us acheive this, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which involves the failure of the leadership of this world to serve the people.

Somehow, governments have turned this around so that we, the people, serve them.  We serve them as workers, as soldiers, as black ops agents,

as cogs in the wheels of their limos.

There are places on this planet where you may witness man's inhumanity to man. There are places where you will see supreme acts of sacrifice, of real compassion, of true love, of daily kindnesses.

We are the best and the worst we can be.

But, we grow and change and in that magic moment of change, we can think like the angels.

I imagine that some of you have been observing us for thousands of years.

I envy your ability to travel that starry road.

Next time you fly by planet earth, give us a holler.

You know the world, the pretty blue one that hangs so precariously

on the edge.
